Eduardo de Marchena M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.C.P. With more than 25 years of clinical experience in South Florida, he completed his undergraduate studies and his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and his residency at its affiliate institution, Jackson Memorial Hospital. Following his residency, he served as Chief Medical Resident in internal medicine, and received a fellowship in the Division of Cardiology. As Dean of International Medicine, he leads the International Medicine Institute’s UHealth International, the International Education and Training Division and the International Research Division. UHealth International delivers quality healthcare to patients from all over the world. Through the International Education and Training Division, the University educates and trains medical students and physicians from Latin America, the Caribbean and has under his direction, extended its programs to the global community. The Research Division partners with physicians, researchers and organizations to broaden the scope of research projects and clinical trials and is establishing new frontiers in the advancement of medical research and technology. In addition to his clinical, academic and leadership roles, his research in interventional cardiology, coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis and congestive heart failure has been widely published with over 200 publications and abstracts in journals including; New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Journal, Progress in Cardiology, and Journal of Vascular Surgery. He is the co-editor of the "Secrets in Interventional Cardiology" textbook. Dr. de Marchena has been widely recognized for his clinical accomplishments as a four time recipient of the Best Cardiology Attending award presented by the University of Miami Cardiology Fellows (1988-2000) and he received the Martin H. Stein Memorial Award for Superior Performance as a cardiology fellow. Active in the local community, Dr. Eduardo de Marchena has been recognized by the Cuban Medical Society, the American Heart Association and the Iron Arrow Honor Society for his contributions to the medical field. Additionally, he has been acknowledged several times by the Best Doctors in America. As a researcher, his work has resulted in several patents and patent applications in percutaneous cardiovascular devices. His commitment to education is evident in the numerous medical education presentations, symposia and conference in all areas of Cardiology throughout the United States and Latin America. |

Enrique Ginzburg, M.D. Dr. Enrique Ginzburg is currently Professor of Surgery, in the Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Medical Director of UHealth International and Co-Director of the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. He holds secondary appointments as an attending surgeon and physician at the Trauma and Surgical Care Unit at Jackson Memorial Center. He is also an attending staff surgeon and surgical consultant at the Veterans Administration Hospital and an attending surgeon at UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Ginzburg received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed a Fellowship in vascular surgery at the Vascular Surgeons of Central Ohio and a Residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Center. Dr. Ginzburg coordinated the affiliation between the University of Miami and the University of Tel Aviv. He was also the founding coordinator of the Trauma Training Program for the Middle East. This program is responsible for training the current Directors of Trauma at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem and at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Tel Aviv, as well as the future leaders of trauma care for Lebanon. |

Jose Quesada, M.D., M.B.A. Dr. Jose Quesada is the Director of Finance and Operations for the International Medicine Institute. He received his medical degree from Carabobo University in Maracay, Venezuela and his MBA from IESA in Caracas, Venezuela. He has held CEO and CFO positions with health care providers in Latin America and the Middle East. His comprehensive experience in Revenue Cycle Management and hospital financial planning combined with his hands on knowledge of hospital management will enhance UHealth International's focus on patient care. |

Jorge M. Diego, M.D., M.P.H. Dr. Jorge M. Diego is a graduate of the University of Florida, School of Medicine. Dr. Diego completed a residency in internal medicine at Barnes Hospital, affiliated with Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Diego continued his postgraduate training at the University of Miami, completing a fellowship in nephrology and also received a Masters in Public Health from the University of Miami. Dr. Diego is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Diego’s research interests are primarily in end-stage renal disease, dialysis, and HIV. |

Elvia Armengol Elvia Armengol has worked as healthcare patient liaison for over 16 years, starting with HealthSouth Corporation then Baptist Health Systems until she joined UHealth International. Elvia has vast experience in the processing of international patients needing neurosurgical, orthopedic and physical rehabilitation services. She has worked closely with referring physicians, insurance carriers, private clinics and government agencies. |

Sylvia Hernandez Powell Sylvia Hernandez Powell joined UHealth International after a 25 year career with the American Cancer Society. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Florida International University. In her first 15 years with the American Cancer Society she held several management positions then became the Director of the American Cancer Society's Winn Dixie Hope Lodge. In this position she gained extensive experience working with international cancer patients, their families and care givers. Her experience with cancer patients and physicians plus her management skills make Sylvia a great asset to UHealth International. |

Jackeline Hernandez Jackeline Hernandez has worked as an accountant in the medical and pharmaceutical fields for over eleven years. She joined UHealth International in May of 2008. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance. |
